Man in the High Castle confirms final season

Philip K. Dick series to end on Amazon, but there are more titles in the pipeline.

The upcoming fourth season of Man in the High Castle will be its last on Amazon Prime.

The series starring Alexa Davalos, Joel De La Fuente and Rufus Sewell is based on Philip K. Dick 1962 alternate history novel.

The news comes a few weeks after executive producer Isa Dick Hackett signed a deal with Amazon to bring more of her father’s works to the small screen.

“It has been a great privilege to work alongside our extraordinary High Castle team, in partnership with David Zucker and Scott Free, to bring my father’s classic novel to life, particularly during this tumultuous period in our real world. I believe fans will be thrilled and satisfied by the epic conclusion we have in store for them,” she said.

“I am very grateful for the ongoing support from Amazon as we produce this final season, and look forward to building on this extremely successful partnership. Stay tuned; there’s more to come!”

The final season is tipped for late 2019.

  1. Makes sense not worth dragging it on too long, after season 3 there is only so much more they can tell, a shame they cancelled Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams though. In the light of other anthology series like the Twilight Zone and Amazing Stories returning, great that there will be more Philip K. Dick stories brought to life.

  2. Well it’s good to read that sci-fi will not die on Amazon Prime and Philip K. Dick’s stories will continue. After watching season 3 of Man in the High Castle it was plain that the show could not be extended past season 4 without having some effect on the integrity of the story thus far, a story which was ready for a conclusion, so hopefully this final season will be generous in its number of episodes as the main characters deserve a finale that will keep faith with the expectation of fans.
