  1. It has been an interesting campaign, very low key. And Fox has avoided associating Kayo Sport with Foxtel. This avoid negative associations with Murdoch for younger streamers, and Foxtel viewers from realising they can ditch the rest of the package if they have an NBN connection and only want sports. The main aim has been to avoid cannibalising Foxtel, which has been successful. 100k Kayo subscribers to 3m households with Foxtel.

  2. I don’t think they have much option…..i will have to happen at some point. Their branding of 10 News First (at 5pm) will probably delay it further. They can’t keep pouring major dollars into news that rates so poorly at a time slot that has a limited audience. Pointless would be a good option at 5.30pm….news at 6pm. Project at 7pm. 10 appear to have invested in news of late with presenters and OS live crosses to traveling reporters which is great to see.

  3. Mmm… Ten has a problem. Some great shows superior to 7 and 9 in my opinion but still a fraction of competitors audiences. I wonder if Ten is planning to move it’s news to 6pm as Peter Ford suggested may occur last year. Even if it got a much smaller audience than 7 and 9 news would surely rate better than 183,000 (Ten has some well respected newsreaders with many credentials) and therefore perhaps give The Project a much needed boost.

    1. Agree, but do an hour news from 6-7pm and then bring back The Project at 7PM. TEN do have some strong newsreaders. Jen Keyte in Melbourne and Sandra (no second name required) in Sydney. The figures for The Project are too low for that timeslot. Do a quiz show at 5 30pm and go head to head with 7 and 9.

      1. Agree. News at 5 is a waste. 7 & 9 with news from 4pm, ABC News, the “news first” should be dropped. It’s ridiculous. Chris Bath (ex-7 Sydney 6pm) now reads 10 weekends). Pointless is a snooze-fest and not sure what audience 10 is targeting there. And find something other than reruns of last night’s shows again. 147,000?
