Renewed: Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D.

FOX8 procedurals get more good news in the US.

Dick Wolf produced dramas Chicago Fire has been renewed for an eighth season and Chicago P.D. for a seventh season by NBC.

Both premiere in Australia on Foxtel, with Seven also screening Chicago Fire.

Chicago Med, which screens in Australia on Nine, has also been renewed for a fifth season.

“We remain in awe of the job Dick Wolf, our producers, casts and crews do in creating some of the most compelling television today,” said Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, co-presidents of scripted programming at NBC Entertainment. “The ‘Chicago’ franchise is a lynchpin of our schedule and we’re thrilled that audiences have embraced our Wednesdays with such incredible passion for these shows and characters.”

All three shows are produced by Universal Television and Wolf Entertainment.

  1. It’s so annoying that 7 doesn’t air Chicago PD as well as Fire. It makes absolutely no sense. I hoped it might be on netflix but it’s not. It’s really frustrating since they have so may cross overs missing half the story.
