Renewed: Chicago Med

Dick Wolf produced medical series proceeding to a fifth season.

Chicago Med, which screens in Australia on Nine, has been renewed for a fifth season.

Broadcaster NBC has also renewed Chicago Fire for an eighth season and Chicago P.D. for a seventh season. Both premiere in Australia on Foxtel, with Seven also screening Chicago Fire.

“We remain in awe of the job Dick Wolf, our producers, casts and crews do in creating some of the most compelling television today,” said Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, co-presidents of scripted programming at NBC Entertainment. “The ‘Chicago’ franchise is a lynchpin of our schedule and we’re thrilled that audiences have embraced our Wednesdays with such incredible passion for these shows and characters.”

All three shows are produced by Universal Television and Wolf Entertainment.

  1. I believe that Universal now show Chicago Med (maybe they bought the rights). They have restarted from season 1. So Med and PD are on Universal and Chicago Fire is on Fox8 on Foxtel. A little bit messy but worth it for the crossovers if you can keep up.

    1. Problem is not everyone has foxtel so miss out on the cross overs which is very frustrating. The same network should have got all of them over here. It’s ridiculous having them on all different networks especially since they do a lot of cross overs.

  2. And we can’t even get to see Season 4 yet!
Come on Channel Nine – put it on now, even if its middle of night on Gem or Go!
Lots of fans waiting to see it. Series 3 rated reasonably well when on after New Amsterdam so why not continue showing new series? David can you try and find out 2hy they won’t show series 4?

      1. Yes when they showed the last few episodes of season 3 was hoping they would go straight to season 4 since it is already showing in the US. Still waiting for seasons 2 & 3 of Lethal Weapon. What are they waiting for? Oh & season 3 of The Following. Whatever happened to that?
