US animations Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers have both been renewed for new seasons.
Family Guy will head into its 18th season under producer Seth McFarlane. In Australia the series resumes its 17th season on 7mate next Wednesday, February 20.
Bob’s Burgers has been renewed for a 10th season by FOX. Since changes with the FOX output deal in Australia the show is now homeless, locally.
The Hollywood Reporter noted both shows were quietly renewed months ago but FOX and producers 20th Century FOX TV declined comment.
The Simpsons was recently renewed for two more seasons.

You can’t rely on 7 anyway. Keep moving stuff. They spent weeks advertising futurama joining Wednesdays and new family guy etc, then they pull the lot for avatar!!! I just don’t get it sometimes
I noticed that last night – what a pain for an awful movie!!
I checked the EPG on my TV for next week, and Futurama is listed from 8:00pm to 9:00pm next week, sandwiched between The Simpsons. So it looks like that Futurama’s absent last night was a one-off.
I previously reported Simpsons last night was at a special time, joined by other animations next week. If I knew why I would pass that on too.
What a shame no network has picked up Bob’s Burgers as the cartoon is hilarious.
I’m also missing Bob’s, and was surprised that 7 didn’t pick it up. It’s a perfect late night show and there’s tons of episodes now, plus it has a movie coming out.
Come on, Ten! Bob’s Burgers! 😀
