Returning: Michael Mosley: Trust Me, I’m a Doctor.

A new series with the UK doc on air, and a locally-made online addition.

Season 8 of Trust Me, I’m a Doctor with Michael Mosley begins on SBS in early March.

In addition an Australian-made online series, Dr Michael Mosley’s Reset, produced in conjunction with Medibank, will screen at SBS On Demand.

Dr Michael Mosley said: “With the launch of my new Australian series, Reset and the return of Trust Me I’m A Doctor, I will be doing what I can to help Australians make better, more informed health choices. Lots of recent studies, for example, have shown the extraordinary impact that the right lifestyle and dietary changes can have on chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes, depression and gut health. Yet there is so much conflicting advice out there that people are often deeply confused about what they should do. By tapping into the latest research I will help audiences cut through the confusion, laying the grounds for a healthier, happier future.”

Today, more than half of all Australians suffer from a chronic health condition, and these conditions have become the predominant cause of death in this country*. With so many affected by chronic illness, Dr Michael Mosley is returning to our screens this March to ask the questions – can lifestyle choices actually create a healthier version of yourself? And will nurturing your body and mind help you lead a better life?

Why are conditions like depression, anxiety, obesity, diabetes and gut health issues so common in Australia? Do family history, relationships, work pressure, lack of nutrition, sleep and exercise contribute to these conditions? Are there any preventive measures? How much healthier could Australians be? Dr Michael Mosley’s Reset addresses all these questions and looks at the practical steps that can be taken in the fight against preventable chronic disease.

Over three episodes – Better Bodies, Better Minds and Better Guts; Dr Mosley moderates studio discussions with real Australians and specialists from fields such as psychology, nutrition and gastroenterology. Focusing on lifestyle changes and new treatments that can contribute to improved overall health, this series isn’t about what’s wrong with us; it’s about what causes the issues and how can we overcome them.

Critically acclaimed Trust Me, I’m A Doctor returns to SBS with a brand new season. A team of experts gets beyond the hype and headlines to find the truth about what’s good for your health. Can learning a language boost your brain? Does going vegan make you healthier? Does cannabis make effective medicines? Which is better for you – tai chi or a workout at the gym?

With expert presenters from the field of genetics, psychiatry, surgery and general practice, this programme brings you the health advice you can trust. Dr Michael Mosley is joined by Gabriel Weston, Zoe Williams, Giles Yeo and Alain Gregoire to seek out the latest research and consult experts in the wide ranging fields of genetics, psychiatry, surgery and general practice, to bring you the health advice you can trust.

Dr Michael Mosley’s Reset has been produced independently by SBS and created in partnership with Medibank, as part of their ongoing focus to improve the quality of life of Australians.
