Maroon 5 starred in the Super Bowl Half Time show yesterday, but many Americans were annoyed a tribute to Spongebob Squarepants creator Stephen Hillenburg, who died in November, was too brief.

The idea of a tribute attracted over 1 million signatures referencing a Sweet Victory performance by Spongebob in a Super Bowl-like clip.

The NFL did include reference the song but it was very brief.
