Tim Gilbert joins SKY News

Former Today show presenter Tim Gilbert has joined SKY News to co-host a new horse-racing show, Racing Dreams with Peter Gleeson and Tim Gilbert.

As the title suggests, he is joined by Peter Gleeson who continues as host of The Front Page. The show also comes with gambling sponsorship.

Tim Gilbert said: “What a great way for me personally to launch into this next chapter of my career. There are few sports that offer the range of back stories that horse racing does, dreams can be dashed but when they come true on the track it’s magic.”

Peter Gleeson, said: “I love racing and when you see the emotion of racehorse ownership, you will understand why this show is a must-watch. Premiering Saturday 9 February at 10am AEDT, Racing Dreams with Peter Gleeson and Tim Gilbert follows the exciting and emotional journey of thoroughbred horse ownership through the eyes of the people living their dream, providing an insider’s look into the world of syndicates and racing. The 12-part one-hour weekly program will document the rollercoaster ride of an industry full of passion, triumph and volatility.

Following his recent departure from the Today Show, Tim Gilbert, well-known sports reporter, commentator and producer, will join Peter Gleeson each week reporting trackside. After working with the Nine Network for 23 years, Tim brings his wealth of sporting knowledge and passion to the Racing Dreams team. Tim will speak to industry movers and shakers, take audiences into the country’s top stables and onto the best courses, providing unprecedented access.
