Investigative journalist Adam Shand, who returns with Australian Crime Stories is a fan of the crime genre but also loves a bit of Peep Show and Detectorists.

What shows are on your must-see TV list lately?
AS: Broadchurch, Bodyguard, Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, Better Call Saul.

What’s your preferred genre to watch and which shows are current highlights?
AS: True crime genre. Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, Nine’s Murder Lies and Alibis, Rod Iddles: The Good Cop, Wormwood.

Which guilty pleasure show are you reluctant to admit to watching?
AS: Peep Show on Netflix and Detectorists.

Which hit shows have you proudly never watched in your life?
AS: I have never watched anything reality, or sci-fi types like Game of Thrones and Handmaid’s Tale.

Tell us about the making of Australian Crime Stories and what we can look forward to?
AS: ACS3 features a broad range of compelling crime stories covering events crimes and characters from the 1950s up to the present day. Some stories viewers will know but will still surprise them while others will make them wonder why they hadn’t heard of them before. We feature a number of unsolved crimes that could be solved with information from viewers. There’s one for everyone in this series.

Australian Crime Stories returns 8.30pm Thursday on Nine.

  1. Detectorists..me too…love it…and would not have even know about it…except for another TV Tonight follower….
    Game of Thrones and Handmaid’s Tale….me either…never watched.

    1. Yes, Detectorists is brilliant, but you also need to check out Peep Show if you haven’t already. It’s the darkest and most brutal comedy I’ve seen in the last ten years.

      Seriously, you haven’t seen Game of Thrones? I detest fantasy, but even I have to admit GoT is actually really good (and highly addictive).
