Anna Coren presents a 30 minute documentary "Sins of the Cardinal & His Church" on CNN.

CNN will screen a 30 minute documentary Sins of the Cardinal & His Church presented by Australian journalist Anna Coren.

Pope Francis is promising to take action on the horrors of child sex abuse in the Catholic Church, but a recent conviction in Australia has brought this global crisis to the door of the Holy See.

This week, the former Vatican Treasurer, Cardinal George Pell, was sentenced to 6 years in prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting two choirboys more than twenty years ago.

Pell is the most senior Vatican official to be convicted of sex abuse to date. It’s a fresh blow to the Church – but campaigners say the verdict proves that no one is above the law.

In this special 30-minute documentary, CNN correspondent Anna Coren reports from Melbourne on the trial of George Pell, and meets the courageous victims and survivors of other Catholic clergy, and their families, as they fight to expose the sins of the Catholic Church in Australia and across the world.
