US actor Luke Perry, 52, was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles after reportedly suffering a “massive” stroke.
Paramedics rushed to the residence of the Riverdale and former Beverly Hills, 90210 star about on Wednesday following a 911 call.
Perry was reportedly responsive and talking when paramedics first arrived, but his condition quickly deteriorated and he was taken to the hospital.
A family source reportedly told TMZ that Perry was placed in a medically induced coma but Perry’s representatives disputed that claim.
“Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital,” his publicist Arnold Robinson has said.
Perry, 52, shot to international fame playing heartthrob Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills, 90210 through the 1990’s and most recently returned to TV as Fred Andrews, father to Archie, on Riverdale.
He will also make appearances on the six-episode series’ 90210 spin-off, which sees cast portraying “heightened” versions of themselves in a behind the scenes version.
On social media several expressed their support for Perry.
“My friend. Holding you tight and giving you my strength. You got this,” actress Shannen Doherty wrote.
“No words can express what my heart feels hearing today’s shocking news. Let us all say a prayer for his speedy recovery,” fellow star Ian Ziering wrote.

That’s really tragic and sobering! He’s only 52. I hope he pulls through.
