Veteran US actor George Morfogen, best known for Oz and the original V miniseries, has died aged 86.
He passed last Friday at his New York home.
Morfogen starred as Robert Rebadow, a mellow older inmate in HBO’s Oz. He was one of only a few characters to survive the entire six seasons from 1997 to 2003.
He also played Stanley Bernstein in the original 1983 V miniseries, the two-part sci-fi about aliens invading Earth.
Morfogen appeared in eight films directed by Peter Bogdanovich: What’s Up Doc?, Daisy Miller, At Long Last Love, Saint Jack, They All Laughed, Mask, Illegally Yours and She’s Funny That Way.
Amongst his many stage credits were Arms and the Man, An Inspector Calls, Fortune’s Fool and A Man for All Seasons.
