Voting opens on Logie Awards 2019

Voting is now underway for the Popular categories in the 2019 Logie Awards.

Eligible shows and Talent are for programmes which aired from April 1 2018 to March 31 2019.

The categories are:

Gold Logie (Most Popular Personality on Australian TV)
Most Popular Actor*
Most Popular Actress*
Most Popular Presenter*
Most Popular Drama
Most Popular Comedy
Most Popular Entertainment
Most Popular Lifestyle
Most Popular Reality
Most Popular Panel or Current Affairs
Most Popular New Talent
Most Popular Commercial (new)

* eligible for Gold Logie

Names listed in each category were supplied by networks with caps on the number each could submit. Expect on air campaigning to get ferocious anyday now.

The Most Popular Commercial category, although voted by viewers, will not be presented during the ceremony, but presented as a “Trade” award.

All voting is again online and closes on March 31 2019, but will reopen for Live voting from June 24 2019 until the red carpet broadcast. Nominees will be announced on Sunday, May 26.

You need to be an Australian resident to vote and can only vote once.

It has been another huge year for Australian TV, so I can’t wait to see who makes the shortlist this year,” TV Week editor Thomas Woodgate says. “Viewers are so passionate about their favourite stars and shows, but they need to make their voices heard, so I’m urging everyone to ensure their favourites get their vote!”

The Logies will air on Nine on Sunday June 30 from The Star, Gold Coast.

  1. I wasn’t really sure about the ‘Most Popular Commercial’ section but I do like the new Most Popular Reality Program…not long now until short-lists are announced (just under 3 weeks!).

  2. I thought how stupid it was to have an ad category but there’s an ad with cute penguins on at the moment so I will vote for that.
