Nine is ramping up the coloured blocks for its family-friendly Reality competition.

Nine held media launches for Lego Masters in Sydney & Melbourne this week.

In attendance were host Hamish Blake, judge Ryan McNaught (aka “Brickman”), contestants, Nine’s Head of Content & Production Adrian Swift and Endemol Shine’s David McDonald and Peter Newman.

The show begins after Easter and is expected to run for 3 weeks. An airdate is yet to be announced.

  1. I’ve seen the UK original, and if it maintains that format exactly, it will be a hit. It’s still an elimination show, but it’s nothing but supportive and encouraging of creativity.

  2. I have a feeling that this might actually land. It’s has a strong curiosity factor and if it’s well made, could hook viewers who aren’t the cooking/Reno/relationship demo for reality shows. Hamish has a strong sense of improv humour and everyone has some experience or memory of Lego – especially us who have stepped on it!
