Grant Denyer released from hospital

Updated: Dancing with the Stars host is recuperating at home after a procedure from his neurosurgeon.

Grant Denyer is recovering at home after a hospital procedure on Friday in which Cortisone shots were injected to address a painful annular fissure.

On Instagram Chezzi Denyer wrote, “Grant is smiling because he’s finally allowed to leave hospital. And the bonus, is that he actually walked out the front doors! And it’s all due to the man on his right. Dr Richard Parkinson! One of Sydney’s most incredible Neurosurgeon’s.”

She continued, “His procedure on Friday was a complete success. Grant is able to stand and walk with just a little discomfort. A long way from the spasming, painful crawl he was doing last week!”

Denyer also spoke to his 2DAY FM cohosts Ed Kavalee & Ash London this morning, keeping up his spirits and hoping to be back in “a couple of days.”

“Don’t rush back to work! Take care of yourself and mend properly!” they insisted.

And no more sledgehammers Mr. D.

Update: Amanda Keller says Grant Denyer was at the studio this afternoon but has had to return to hospital. Scott Tweedie is in the skybox.

  1. It is a cortisone shot…takes the pain away…once the pain has gone…you are good again…
Just no more swinging sledge hammers…you have to have respect for a bad back…I know.

  2. Poor guy, its so easy after injury or illness to forget, and overdo it. His wife will have to have all tools and equipment removed from the property now!
