Grant Denyer resumes filming on Celebrity Name Game

'TV's Grant Denyer' is out of hospital and ready for work.

Gold Logie winner Grant Denyer is back in front of the cameras filming episodes of Celebrity Name Game for Network 10.

Denyer has been battling back problems but has now left hospital.

“I can now stand direct and I have much less pain…. sitting is the worst for that injury,” he told 2DAYfm co-hosts Ed Kavalee and Ash London today.

“Cheating the clock is what the cortisone does. It tries to allow you to at least be mobile while the injury hals which can be anything from 6 weeks – 6 months.

“I’ll take 6 weeks thank you!”

While his headspace is positive he revealed that listening to his radio co-hosts and watching Dancing with the Stars from his hospital bed was also difficult.

“It’s like watching someone else take your wife out on a date. It’s weird,” he said.

But he should now be back on Monday for the Dancing with the Stars semi-final.

A date for Celebrity Name Game is yet to be confirmed.

Packed with famous faces, Celebrity Name Game is a fast-paced game show that sees every day Aussies paired with real-life celebrities in a race against the clock to identify famous names and faces from across pop culture.

Created by Courtney Cox and David Arquette, the game involves two teams of two contestants – think friends, family or co-workers that can mildly tolerate each other – who together with a guest celebrity, must try and identify the name of popular culture subjects like politicians, sport stars, movies and fictional characters.

Airing 6.00pm weeknights, Celebrity Name Game is a sure fire way to snap you out of that post-work coma and into a night of laughter and scream-at-the-tv fun.

Celebrity Name Game is produced by FremantleMedia Australia for Network 10.

  1. I’m looking forward to seeing Grant back on our screens, especially for Dancing with the Star’s Semi-Final…he is such a warm and charming presenter and it’s great to see him being beamed into our homes every…well, week at present.

  2. It’s great Grant is on the mend, although Denise and Scott Tweddie were superb fill-ins on Dancing. Celebrity Name Game’s premiere shouldn’t be too far away as Pointless is airing it’s last new episode tomorrow night then next week it’s all repeats.
