Report: Love Island in Queensland?

Raunchy one day. Queensland the next.

Love Island may relocate because the Fiji government is allegedly concerned about the ‘sleazy tone’ of the program.

The Sunday Telegraph suggests Queensland may be the next setting for the show.

Season One was filmed by ITV Studios Australia in Spain which, whilst working as exotic not just costly in air fares.

Earlier this year Programming boss Hamish Turner told TV Tonight, “From a casting perspective if you want to make quick decisions about getting new people in you are somewhat restricted by Mallorca. It’s not just Spain, it’s a boat, a flight and more.”

The latest episode of Bachelor in Paradise was shot in Fiji along with the last Australian Survivor and US Survivor series. Fiji’s government attracts producers with incentives through Film Fiji, including all airfares for cast & crew. But it requires a detailed production budget and script in advance (or presumably in the case of reality shows, story outlines).

Love Island will screen on Nine’s primary channel this year, potentially in a later slot.
