  1. ‘Dark’ has almost shamelessly exploited the success of ‘Stranger Things’ but does offer more diversity with its adult themes intended for a more young adult audience, watching ‘Dark’ I also think about the 2009 Mads Mikklesen movie ‘The Door’ as well. The gap of time between episode 1 and this new season will require a second viewing of season 1 to refresh the memory, as would be recommended for fans of Netflix’s ‘OA’ as well.
