Seven narrows the gap

Ratings: Gogglebox tops entertainment, AFL helps Seven to come within striking distance of nabbing the week.

Seven has a shot at winning the week, now trailing Nine by just 0.2% with two more nights to come.

That’s due to MAFS screening on 3 rather than 4 nights and the lure of AFL at the back of the week.

Last night Thursday Night AFL drew 675,000 viewers, including on 7mate.

Gogglebox was the top entertainment show of the night at 579,000 and topped 2 demos.

  1. Still do not understand how ‘This is us’ was unable to sustain a strong enough following to stay on the main channel (ch10) in Australia. Such a high quality drama and always very engaging. The end of last night’s season final with the flash forward scene was amazing, raised so many questions.

    1. Agree. This is Us is such a great drama …. loved the season final. Guess the next season might show up on Foxtel …. doubt Ten will pay for non CBS product for a secondary channel

  2. Loved “Madam Secretary”. Targeting Australia for not taking “climate change refugees” from the Solomon Islands “who get to Australia by canoes to Indonesia then people smugglers to Australia” (Willis Island, population 4, 280 miles east of Cairns, as set by the opening frames). On the Australian PM “Don’t worry about Australia, they throw out Prime Ministers like confetti down there”. Australian anti-vaxers copped a serve and the US thought it would be a good maneuver to blame Australia for the outbreak of Measles in The Philippines.

Given the current US President wants to build a wall around the US, the irony is hilarious. but DFAT is spending a lot of money on climate change action in the Solomon Islands
