The Chase tops entertainment shows on Thursday

Ratings: Bachelor in Paradise tops the demos. Seven wins the night.

Thursday was a relatively quiet night with sport again across Seven and Nine schedules. From 7:30pm it was a bit of a three way tug of war with 10’s entertainment schedule, but Seven came out on top.

Seven’s The Chase (545,000 / 348,000) was the top entertainment show of the night as it continues to defeat Nine’s Hot Seat (460,000 / 258,000).

Gogglebox drew 537,000, at a later start than last week, due to Bachelor in Paradise which dipped to 489,000. The latter did top the demos.

Seven Network won Thursday with 32.6% then Nine 25.8%, 10 20.1%, ABC 14.4% and SBS 7.0%.

Seven News was #1 with 966,000 / 860,000 for Seven then Seven’s AFL (572,000). Home & Away was 382,000 in 3 cities.

Nine News led for Nine at 860,000 / 827,000 then A Current Affair (732,000). Thursday Night NRL was 385,000 in 2 cities.

The Project (383,000 / 232,000), 10 News First (345,000), and Pointless (195,000) comprised 10’s other shows.

ABC News (587,000), 7:30 (446,000), Escape from the City (357,000), Sammy J (305,000), The Drum (197,000) and Informer (149,000) made up ABC’s night.

On SBS it was Victoria and Albert: The Wedding (208,000), Project Blue Book (159,000 / 120,000) an SBS World News (123,000).

Bluey did it again for ABC KIDS at 243,000.

  1. I’m Enjoying Bachelor in Paradise much more so far this season compared to last I think there is a better mix of people there. Also Googlebox was great last night

  2. So going by the past few days ratings, it seems that the vast majority of people who watched MAFS have just turned off as nothing has seemed to get a boost with it off. Like Tuesday The Big Bang Theory was 800,000 less than MAFS and MKR only picked up 22,000 more viewers, Bachelor was up 190,000 on Ambulance and most other things were much the same (ABC had the Budget the week before but 7:30 and etc., didn’t do any different really).

    1. I noticed that Hard Quiz went up by about 50 to 60,000 on the Wednesday when MAFS wasn’t on, and stayed that way for the next Wednesday once the show was over.
