2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup on SBS: guide

SBS coverage from France will include the opening match, quarter-finals, semi-finals, final, and all Matildas games.

SBS will broadcast the FIFA Women’s World Cup matches from June 8 when hosts France face Korea Republic.

Hosting are sports journalist, Tracey Holmes and former Socceroo Captain, Craig Foster with analysis from ex-Matilda Joey Peters.

Settle into the sidelines and get your green and gold ready, with SBS covering the biggest games of the tournament, live, free and in HD across television, radio and online. All 52 matches will be live and free on SBS Radio in multiple languages, while on TV and online, SBS will broadcast the opening match, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final, and all Matildas games.

The blockbuster first weekend continues with the highly-anticipated premiere appearance of the Matildas from the family-friendly time of 8.30pm* Sunday night when they play world number 15** Italy.

SBS’s coverage of the Matildas’ campaign to progress from Group C under new coach Ante Milicic will also see the team face Brazil from 1.30am* on Friday, 14 June, then Jamaica on Wednesday, 19 June from 4.30am*. All SBS matches will feature exclusive commentary from David Basheer and former Matilda Sarah Walsh and extensive analysis live from France.
