9Now to fast-track Love Island UK

Controversial reality series can be streamed by Aussies from next week.

Controversial reality series Love Island UK will be fast-tracked to 9Now from Wednesday, June 5.

The series attracts mega-attention from UK millennials for its racy episodes with randy singles in a Spanish villa.

But it has also drawn media attention following the deaths of two participants, with broadcaster ITV forced to step up their duty of care.

Hamish Turner, Nine Program Director: “Watch the show everyone is talking about, fast-tracked from the UK and exclusively streaming on 9Now. Season five of the British version will whet the appetite of Love Island fans before we send a new group of Aussie Islanders into our own villa later this year.”

Host Caroline Flack once again welcomes the Islanders to their plush digs, while narrator Iain Stirling is also back with his inimitable take on all the island action as show narrator. And, phwoar, what a bunch of hotties our new Islanders are!

There’s scientist Yewande, 23; surfer Lucie, 21; beauty therapist Amber, 21, flight attendant Amy, 26; and pharmacist Anna, 28. Hoping to get their pulses racing are gym owner Anton, 24; boxer Tommy, 20; catering company owner Joe, 22; firefighter Michael, 27; chef and semi-pro rugby player Sherif, 20; aircraft engineer Callum, 28; and Latin dancer Curtis, 23.

As the game of love gets underway, the Islanders must couple up to secure their place in the villa, with those who stay single finding themselves at risk of being dumped from the island.

Temptation is rife for the Islanders, so loyalties will be tested with surprise bombshell arrivals and unexpected twists and turns proving that the Love Island road to romance is never smooth. Ultimately the British public will decide their favourite couple, who will walk away from the villa with a life-changing cash prize as they are crowned Love Island UK winners.

Love Island UK Season 5 begins on 9Now Wednesday, June 5.

  1. I tried calling channel 9 to find out what time the show lands in the app, but was on hold so long I couldn’t wait any longer. I don’t know how they think people can organise viewing parties when they won’t advertise what time the show can be watched. Furthermore I have no idea why the channel can’t just air the show on TV, rather than old repeat episodes of big bang, the block etc. first chance in a longtime for the network to get young people watching tv and they waste the Oppurtunity!
