  1. Does anyone know what World Cup game channel9 are broadcasting along with the Australian games? They are meant to broadcast a total of 21 games.

    1. It appears all the World Cup games will be on GEM and 9now ,on June 6th we play West Indies and even though there’s no NRL game on due to origin week it’s still on GEM in SD and not HD on 9 , odd.

  2. I saw somewhere that 9 is showing 21 World Cup matches, do you know which matches they will be? Australian matches plus semis and finals are only 12 matches. Thanks

    1. This is from the ICC website “In Australia, Channel 9 will carry 21 matches, including all Australia matches, the semi-finals and final via their channel 9GEM. They will complement Fox Sports Australia coverage, who will broadcast all matches live via Fox Sports Cricket, including the tournament warm up matches“

    2. Channel 9 will release their full schedule of broadcast games for the World Cup sometime next week.
Looking at a online tv guide now 9GEM have the opening game between England and South Africa in the schedule for next Thursday night.

      1. Yeah saw that a swell, thought it was odd though that in Melbourne they’re showing it on GEM as well, understand inNSW and Qld because of NRL but all they have on Nine is RBT, Paramedics, Kings Cross ER. I know Australia isn’t involved, however even up against the AFL I’d think they’d get more eyeballs on in it (RBT got 258,00 this week and below that for the others), plus then the NRL wouldn’t have had to move to 9GO taking those shows away.

Ah well guess we all get the glory of an SD telecast that way 😉
