Aussie comedy Rostered On, which began as a YouTube comedy before being picked up by Netflix, gets its Free to Air premiere on 7mate.
7mate has commissioned a second season by writer / producer / director Ryan Chamley which was filmed earlier this year. Chamley has partnered with Ruby Productions (Kath & Kim, The Secret River).
Based in a fictional electrical store, the cast includes Paul Moore, Doug Lyons, Diana Brumen and Lliam Murphy.
“I am truly thankful for 7mate investing in the future of Australian comedy. I think it is an exciting time where major networks are commissioning scripted comedy again, and I hope it births a plethora of new and exciting shows. We can’t wait to show our fans what we have been cooking up for the last two years!,” said Chamley.
A double episode airs from 9pm Wednesday on 7mate.
