Seven has an open casting call for an unnamed new reality show, and is seeking “Australia’s biggest personalities.”

“Do people often say, ‘You really should be on TV!’? Well this is your chance to be part of one of Seven Studio’s new reality shows. We’re looking for real people with unreal personalities,” a casting notice announces.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.

Amongst the application entry fields are:

  • Why do you think you would make great TV?
  • Occupation
  • Relationship status
  • Do you have children? What are their ages?
  • Are you able to travel for extended periods of time?

In case you forgot, this week Seven’s Sunday Night also criticised the way some reality shows were made, and the way contestants were being treated.

  2. Before that last dot point, I had a feeling that Big Brother would be coming to Seven.
    Now I will go with a Travel Guides ripoff.

    Applicants must sign off on exhaustively comprehensive waivers and NDAs in the event of family breakdown, death, accidental and/or deliberate incest etc.

  4. Maybe they will have some new rules in place like ITV. And also keep an eye on their Seven media pages related to their reality shows, so if people are writing things that are bullying and offensive, they are monitored and deleted. In the past I have seen some terrible things written on those facebook and twitter pages relating to feedback on different reality shows and targeting individuals that are highly offensive, being called horrible names (swear words at their worst) and those comments were left up there.

  7. Not cheap ideas,,,just no ideas !
    “Are you able to travel for extended periods of time?” Smells like a Travel Guides rip off to me.
    CH7 are notorious for taking any success the competition have and attempting to replicate it.
    They are on the ropes and lazy programming like this is destined to fall flat on it’s face.
    The story on ‘Sunday Night’ was so hypocritical it was unbelievably laughable. I don’t know how of the “journalists” could keep a straight face.

  8. Take a deep breath and you can smell the cheap ideas floating around with this low budget show. And they wonder why Netflix is popular…
