E! has axed its late night talk show Busy Tonight hosted by Busy Philipps.

Philipps posted a video to Instagram announcing the news.

She said “we are very proud of the show” and the team was in talks with other networks to try and find another home for the series.

The show attracted a largely female audience with a median age of 43, considerably younger than the average late-night talk show audience.

The series is produced by Tina Fey’s Little Stranger banner and Wilshire Studios.

Busy Tonight is scheduled to run four more episodes this week and next week before ending on May 16.
