Axed: For the People

US legal drama For the People has been axed in the US.

The Shonda Rhimes-produced series was set in a New York federal court and followed a group of lawyers as they handled  high-profile cases.

It starred Britt Robertson, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Ben Rappaport,  Ben Shenkman, Hope Davis and Anna Deavere Smith.

The series was averaging almost 3 million total live US viewers for ABC.

Season 2 began last week in Australia on Universal.
