Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards 2019: nominees

Huh? As if America didn’t already have enough awards shows, now they have announced the inaugural Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards.

These “recognize excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms.” So no Drama then….

RuPaul’s Drag Race leads the nominations with five nominations, including best competition series and best host. Netflix’s Queer Eye follows with four, followed by two other Netflix programs, Our Planet and Tidying Up With Marie Kondo, with three awards each.

Presented by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association and trade organisation NPACT, these will take place Sunday, June 2, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
