Renewed: Black Monday

Wall Street 80's comedy will get a second season on Stan.

Showtime comedy series Black Monday was renewed this week for a second season.

The series set around the Wall Street crash of 1987, stars Don Cheadle, Andrew Rannells & Regina Hall.

Black Monday mines big comedy from the greed, the style, the music and the excess of the ’80s, but it’s also sneaky-smart in its social commentary about that era – and indirectly, our current era as well,” said Gary Levine, President of Entertainment at Showtime Networks. “We can’t wait to see what inspired depravity David and Jordan will cook up in Season 2.”

31 years after the worst stock market crash in the history of Wall Street, dubbed “Black Monday.” The series stars and is executive produced by Emmy nominated and Golden Globe winning actor Don Cheadle and stars two-time Tony Award nominee and Grammy winner Andrew Rannells (Girls) and Regina Hall (Girls Trip). Paul Scheer (The League) also stars.

  1. Don Cheadle was certainly enjoying himself making this spoof send up of Wall Street with his stand up black comedy version of Gordon Gekko.
