Great news for Aussie Ruby Rose with The CW proceeding with a full series of Batwoman.
Rose first appeared as Batwoman in an Arrow-verse crossover under prolific producer Greg Berlanti, then handed a pilot order.
Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.
Caroline Dries (The Vampire Diaries) is the writer and executive producer, with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns, and David Nutter also executive producing. Marcos Siega directed the pilot and is an executive producer. Berlanti Productions will produce in association with Warner Bros. Television.

While The CW has also picked up Riverdale spinoff Katy Keene, & Nancy Drew it is not proceeding with a Jane the Virgin spin-off.
Batwoman is most likely to screen in Australia on Foxtel, where Rose was previously an MTV host.

Ruby Rose is an experienced actress her brief cameos in the Arrow universe reveal that. With the diversity of stories (like Doom Patrol) now coming from DC, Ruby should be able to create her own unique world especially as Arrow and Gotham is finishing up, hopefully other DC gay characters like Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) wont become an occasional guest star with benefits but as Batwoman is part of the Arrowverse it will be unavoidable.
I was impressed with her portrayal (however small it was) in the crossover event and it left me wanting to explore her character and her world some more so I’m stoked for this.
