Not Just Me, the US adaptation of Sisters, has a full season on US network television.

A trailer has just dropped at the FOX Upfronts in New York where it has been given a high profile slot, to follow break-out reality series The Masked Singer later this year.

The series is based on the Australian drama created by Jonathan Gavin and Imogen Banks for Endemol Shine Australia, which had one season on 10 in 2017.

Imogen Banks (Offspring, The Beautiful Lie) said of the news, “Thrilled! So excited for everyone involved.”

The US producers are Annie Weisman (The Path, Desperate Housewives) and Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights, Parenthood, Rise) while the cast features Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect), Megalyn Echikunwoke (The Following) and Emily Osment (Young & Hungry) and Timothy Hutton.

Brittany Snow plays only child Julia Bechley who has her life turned upside down when it’s revealed that her father, pioneering Nobel Prize-winning fertility doctor Leon Bechley (Hutton) used his own sperm to conceive dozens of children over the course of his career.

It’s not yet clear if the show will screen down under, either with Seven or Foxtel.

Endemol Shine Australia also has its Family Food Fight series given a network adaptation by ABC.

  1. Hopefully it will do well following The Masked Singer but Fox treats scripted programs like trash. Looking forward to seeing how it goes though!
