Lots of excitement around the trailer dropped for the 10 part Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, based on Jim Henson’s 1982 classic.

Featuring the voices of Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Joy and Nathalie Emmanuel, this premieres on Friday August 30.

Not ashamed to admit that The Dark Crystal was the first film to frighten the absolute pants off me watching it as a 5/6 yo in the mid 1980s (to a certain extent I still haven’t forgiven my 2 and 4 years older cousin). That said, I have been hanging out for this series since the moment it was announced. The 2+ year wait looks to have been worth it!
