New Zealand actor Pua Magasiva, who had roles in Power Rangers Ninja Storm, Shortland Street and Outrageous Fortune, has died aged just 38.
He died suddenly during a visit to Wellington. Police are investigating his death.
“Pua’s family members are in the acute stage of grief and are not in a place to comment at this time other than to acknowledge the public outpouring of love for Pua and to thank all those who’ve expressed their condolences and offered their support,” a family statement said.
Pua was brother to Wentworth‘s Robbie Magasiva.
He played nurse Vinnie Kruse on Shortland Street between 2003-06 and then 2011-18. He became the first Samoan Power Ranger appearing in two seasons.
Other credits included East West 101 and Panic at Rock Island.
