With a global audience watching the Game of Thrones finale today, HBO has dropped a trailer for the third season of Westworld.

It looks completely different to the bulk of what we know, in a futuristic city with Aaron Paul, accompanied by Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon.”

Alas, it won’t return until 2020 (which still sounds pretty futuristic itself!).

Nice trailer but is this still Westworld, the title and story adapted from the movie is about a technology theme park built for the ultra wealthy, this coming season looks more like the origins of Blade Runner as replicants begin integrating with humanity, the plot is obviously related but maybe going off into a different direction which confirms to some degree that last season could quite easily have finished the show, not that I’m complaining as I love quality sci-fi if it’s well written.This show looks ready for release it’s curious why fans must wait until 2020 unless they are also making season 4 at the same time to cut costs.
