Family Food Fight off the table

Exclusive: Nine's calendar is full and reality food series is out for 2019.

EXCLUSIVE: Nine sources have confirmed Family Food Fight will not be screening this year.

The show was previously included in Nine’s 2019 Upfronts, but that was ahead of the second season debut.

Ratings for 2018 were down on 2017, but the format has proven a success for Endemol Shine, which developed the series with Nine. International versions were greenlit in Mexico, Switzerland, Denmark, Argentina, Portugal and a rare network pickup by ABC in the US.

The series filled a month in Nine’s calendar year after The Block wrapped in October.

Still expected this year are Australian Ninja Warrior, The Block, Doctor Doctor, Seachange, Love Island, Hamish & Andy’s “Perfect” Holiday, This Time Next Year, and Paramedics.

Nine sources told TV Tonight their calendar was full but has not ruled out more Family Food Fight in the future.

  1. Channel 9 are kidding themselves claiming their programming calendar for year is full!!!! There are 9 shows listed here so maybe 15 to 20 hours per week allowing for 90 minute shows. Some of these shows are only 10 episodes! There are still 7 months of the year left! What else are they going to show? Oh yeah we still have several episodes of Big Bang to go! Their programming will be repeat after repeat after repeat whilst we continue to wait for heaps of other shows they have sat on such as two whole series of Chicago Med!!!!!

    1. David’s commentary above does not state that those 9 programs you mention are the only programs going to air. That list just mentions the highlighted programs that are expected to be shown.
