French Open Finals 2019 on FOX Sports

Ash Barty meets Amanda Anisimova at Roland-Garros in the French Open.

Ash Barty meets Amanda Anisimova tonight Australian time at Roland-Garros in the French Open on FOX Sports.

FOX Sports expert commentator Adam Peacock said: “Ash has been one of the Australian sporting success stories of 2019. She plays the sport the way it should be played, all with this perfect balance of fierce determination and humility. Her young opponent shouldn’t be underestimated, but happily, Ash won’t be for a while now.

“As for Federer-Nadal you don’t need to say much. Just the fact they are playing each other again, 14 years after their first Roland Garros semi-final, is enough. What a night ahead”.

NB: SBS VICELAND will also screen tonight 7pm Live in eastern states.

Australia’s Ash Barty will play for a place in her first Grand Slam Final tonight at 6.50pm when she takes on Amanda Anisimova in their Roland Garros Semi-Final with FOX Sports 503 airing Live coverage of the match with no-ad breaks during play.

Should Barty overcome her teenage American opponent, she will face the winner of the Semi-Final between Sydney-born Brit Johanna Konta and Marketa Vondrousova, whose match is also scheduled to start tonight at 6.50pm and will be broadcast Live on FOX Sports 505 with no ad breaks during play.

The two semi-final matches signal the start of a big weekend of Roland-Garros action as the final four male and female players battle it out to see who will be crowned the champions of Roland Garros.

The Roland Garros women’s final is scheduled to be played on Saturday, June 8 with the men’s final scheduled to be played on Sunday, June 9. FOX Sports will broadcast both finals Live and in HD with no ad-breaks during play.

In the men’s competition, tonight’s first semi-final hosts an explosive blockbuster clash with the king of clay and defending champion Rafael Nadal going head-to-head with his traditional rival Roger Federer, with coverage scheduled to start following the completion of the Konta v Vondrousova Semi-Final on FOX Sports 505.

Dominic Thiem also booked his spot after a straight sets win to face world number one Novak Djokovic in the second semi-final, with coverage scheduled to start directly after the Barty v Anisimova semi-final on FOX Sports 503.

  1. Just a heads up – SBS Viceland is showing Ash Barty’s match tonight from 7pm 🙂

SBS is still showing them men’s Semi from 8.35pm as normal.

  2. My understanding is that the SBS has the FTA broadcast rights to the French Open.

If so, then why aren’t they broadcasting the Barty vs Anisimova match Live?
