The third season, of a bumper 16 episodes, began in half hour form on SBS last Wednesday night. But NITV has the full one hour versions, beginning this Sunday night with an episode set in the Snowy Mountains.

Ernie Dingo takes viewers on the trip of a lifetime around our beautiful country, in the new season of his travel program, Going Places with Ernie Dingo.

National treasure and much-loved presenter, Ernie Dingo gets to every corner of the country in the new season, taking viewers to some of Australia’s most stunning landscapes on the way.

Locations this season will include Charlotte Pass (NSW), Horizontal Falls (WA), Yirrkala (NT), Hervey Bay (QLD), Grampians (VIC), Bruny Island (TAS), Ceduna (SA), Mount Kosciuszko (NSW), Broome (WA), Jindabyne (NSW), Stradbroke Island (QLD), Lake Mungo (NSW), Gold Coast Hinterland (QLD), Strahan (TAS) and Port Lincoln (SA).

Although Ernie visits some of the best spots on the map, the real jewels in each episode are the in-depth chats he has with the locals who call these places home, as they share their connection with the places they live. Ernie meets a steam train driver, a snow groomer, a deep-thinking hiker, a passionate ecologist, a trout fisherman, a talented sculptor, an ALFW player and farmer, a former iron woman, a dinosaur enthusiast and even some of his old friends along the way.

SBS will kick off the new season with half-hour episodes, while on NITV, viewers can take a deeper dive with hour-long episodes, with catch-up available on SBS On Demand.

Season Three, Episode One: Charlotte Pass
Join Ernie as he explores the stunning Snowy Mountains winter wonderland that is Charlotte Pass, and meets up with three thrill seekers Didge, Trick, and Maaika living out their dreams.

Sunday, 16 June at 7.30pm on NITV.
