Player Takeover Round on FOX Footy

AFL players takeover panel shows all week.

AFL players will join the hosting panels and commentary teams this week in the second Player Takeover Round on FOX Footy.

Shows will air from Monday 24th June through to Sunday 30th June.

It kicks off with Paul Roos and Jonathan Brown getting the boot from On The Couch on Monday night, making way for young guns Marcus Bontempelli and Jeremy Howe. The Western Bulldogs star and Collingwood highflying defender join host Gerard Healy and Garry Lyon as they dissect the biggest stories out of the weekend.

On Tuesday, Jack Riewoldt and Jordan Lewis take the reins from Gerard Whateley and Mark “Robbo” Robinson who rest on the bench for the night. The two will host AFL 360 for the second year running, chatting with Adam Treloar, Joel Selwood and Mason Cox for a very special ‘Players Night’.

Following a huge second season debut, Bob Murphy’s chum Jarryd Roughead joins him for episode three of Bob. The two chat about legacy and life after footy direct from Roughead’s pub in Leongatha.

Gerard and Robbo return on Wednesday night to speak with Will Setterfield, Dayne Zorko and West Coast’s Josh Kennedy on AFL 360. Then Patrick Dangerfield, Max Gawn, Darcy Vescio and Easton Wood headline On The Mark: Player Takeover one-off show. They will voice a player’s insight in to the game’s current issues.

Thursday Night Footy on Fox sees Nathan Jones, Roughead and Ben Brown join the commentary team. Dylan Shiel, Riewoldt and Lewis will host Friday Night Footy on Fox, and Shaun Higgins, Eddie Betts and David Zaharakis join the Super Saturday on Fox coverage.

Shaun Grigg comes in for Dermott Brereton, joining gleeful duo Sarah Olle and Brad Johnson on Saturday Stretch.

Finally, Giants co-captain Phil Davis heads up Sunday Footy on Fox as Mason Cox and Isaac Smith join the frivolities on the Bounce couch with Jason Dunstall and Danny Frawley.
