Queer Eye dominates Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards

Updated: Aussie-US producers win in reality / doco awards in the US.

Queer Eye and Netflix were the big winners at the inaugural Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards in the US this weekend.

The awards recognise excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming.

The series took out 4 awards including best structured series and a win for Jonathan Van Ness as Best Male Star ….over Sir David Attenborough and RuPaul.

The fab five also beat out the Irwin family as best ensemble in Animal Planet’s Crikey! It’s The Irwins.

But Aussie-US production company Eureka won the Relationship category, tying with Married at First Sight, for Netflix series Dating Around. It beat out the likes of The Bachelor and Wife Swap.
