Renewed: Cold Feet

Mike Bullen-penned drama gets a ninth season.

UK drama Cold Feet has been renewed for a ninth series.

Six further episodes of the Manchester based series by writer Mike Bullen will see James Nesbitt, Hermione Norris, Robert Bathurst, Fay Ripley and John Thomson return.

ITV’s Head of Drama, Polly Hill said, “We’re delighted to be returning to Manchester for more of Cold Feet. The audience reaction to the last series was incredible with many saying it’s getting better with age! We’re pleased to be working again with Mike Bullen whose moving, funny, complex and absorbing scripts are a joy to commission.”

Mike Bullen added: “I think we were all overwhelmed by the amazing response to the latest series. Jenny’s cancer in particular seemed to touch a nerve with viewers. There are still stories to tell for these characters but I’m conscious that we’ve raised the bar. The delight at being recommissioned has already been replaced by trepidation at the weight of expectation.”

The series will shoot later this year in Manchester to air in 2020.

  1. I have seen season 8. glad a 9th season has been commissioned, it needed it to possiblly wrap up a couple of the storylines in that season. I can’t understand why channel 7 won’t even put it on 7Two(if it obviously doesn’t rate very well or at all for 7 viewers) at least, or off load it to Foxtel?. It aired back in January, in the UK, Imagine how long cold feet fans in australia are going to wait for S9 in 2020, if they still haven;t aired S8 already?

  2. Great to see this old chesnut continue to keep trundling along.
One of the first of its kind back in the day.
Really hope to see S 8 aired on Channel 7 soon…has been a fair while between drinks.
