Returning: Trapped

Set your PVR for three episodes of Icelandic drama screening late on Monday night.

Fans of Icelandic series Trapped may have already caught new episodes at SBS on Demand, but if not it will screen late on Monday night.

But you’ll need to set your PVR as three episodes will screen together.

Season 2 has 10 episodes while a third season is underway in Iceland.

Outside Parliament House in Reykjavik, a man attacks at the Minister for Industry, setting them both on fire. He dies, but she survives. Andri Olafsson, now working in Reykjavik, is assigned to the case and discovers the attacker was the Minister’s twin. The case takes Andri back to the north, the very area he had hoped to leave behind. Trouble is brewing in the town – political protests, widespread anger at a power plant extension, and a proposed aluminium factory.

When the foreman at the power plant – brother-in-law to the Minister – is found murdered on his farm, Andri must investigate if – and how – the two incidents are connected.
