Sunday Night exec producer departs Seven

Sunday Night executive producer Hamish Thomson has departed Seven, network sources confirmed today.

Thomson was installed as exec producer in 2016 after Steve Taylor resigned.

He had 22 years at Nine including as an exec producer on 60 Minutes from 2007 – 2012. He was also producing Inside Story, when he turned down the Sally Faulkner story before it later landed at 60 Minutes.

The Daily Telegraph reports an internal email advised, “After three challenging and successful years Hamish is leaving to explore other opportunities.”
