Warning: Don’t read unless you have seen S7 Ep 4!
Wentworth has done it again, bumping off a key character with next to no warning.
‘Kaz’ Proctor played defiantly by Tammy McIntosh became another in the show’s long line of shock murders (it began with episode one with Meg Jackson, in case you forgot).
‘Kaz’ has been the show’s Top Dog in recent seasons, frequently locking horns with the likes of Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack), Marie Winter (Susie Porter), Sonia Stevens (Sigrid Thornton) and Joan Ferguson (Pamela Rabe).
But she was targeted by a new inmate who learned Kaz was connected to the hit on her brother and Rita Connors (Leah Purcell) was blackmailed into killing her. But while the episode hints at Rita’s sister Ruby (Rarriwuy Hick) slashing her throat in a corridor, the writers may yet have more twists up their sleeve….
“It genuinely is the best season that has been done on Wentworth. I believe it and I know all of the cast and producers believe it is the best so far. We’re raising the bar every season,” Bernard Curry recently said.
On social media fans were shocked by the latest move (while others were spoiled after the show began trending).

This season is quite good so far, far better than the last 2.
Hopefully this will be the making of Alli, her character has been in a bit flat.
Continually amazed at the boundaries this show pushes.
Loved the scene of Lizzie getting her man too
I thought that got a bit far fetched (killed in the line of duty), but they brought it home.
If it’s not the new inmate. I reckon it may have been the new guard, hidden in uniform?
I joked that Jake was the new guard’ boyfriend at some point… well if not gay, certainly bi!
I was sitting there waiting for her to get to Rita’s cell and find her dead and then it happened….I couldn’t move for ages I was so stunned…. I am a big Tammy McIntosh fan and sorry to see her go.
