7TWO share drives Seven win on Thursday
Ratings: Wimbledon drew an 8.8% share on 7TWO, The Chase was biggest entertainment show of the night.

Sport underpinned a win for Seven last night with Wimbledon on 7TWO pulling an 8.8% share and up to 311,000 watching.
MasterChef Australia won its slot and topped the demos at 606,000 but it was The Chase which had the biggest entertainment crowd of the night at 633,000 / 400,000.
Seven network won Thursday with 35.2% then Nine 24.8%, 10 17.8%, ABC 15.1% and SBS 7.0%.
Seven News was #1 with 1.03m / 978,000. Home and Away was 597,000 and The Front Bar (388,000). Britain’s Got Talent drew 258,000.
Nine News was best for Nine at 884,000 / 830,000 then A Current Affair (658,000), Hot Seat (542,000 / 322,000), and in select cities: Thursday Night NRL (285,000), RBT (192,000), Australian Crime Stories (141,000) and City of Evil (121,000).
The Project drew 433,000 / 250,000 for 10 then 10 News First (417,000), a Taboo replay (280,000), Celebrity Name Game (229,000) and Law & Order: SVU (128,000).
ABC News (647,000), 7:30 (537,000), Escape from the City (410,000), Sammy J (294,000), No Offence (202,000) and The Drum (193,000) comprised ABC’s night. Humans was just 85,000.
On SBS it was The Handmaid’s Tale (149,000), The Great House Revival (127,000), and SBS World News (118,000).
The Morning Show: 145,000 / 91,000
Today Extra: 108,000 / 62,000
Studio 10: 54,000 / 47,000 /

It seems sad that the highest entertainment shows is on in the early evening before the news. Not a reflection on the Chase (haven’t watched it), but on viewers habits and lack of Thursday interest! With grocery stores open late every week night, surely it isn’t still the ‘late night shopping crowd’ that results in lower Thursday ratings?
Many people still get paid on a Thursday thus there is still a boost for Thursday shopping.
The director of The Chase (Oz) seems to have curtailed Andrew’s expressive use of hands when asking questions.
Pity. It added to the flair of the show.
With The Chase getting those types of figures each weekday think it’s time to start a campaign to get Andrew O’Keefe a Gold Logie next year, make it a trifecta for Game Show hosts.
And have Tony Barber inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Yeah why not he won the Gold Logie in 1973 and is a big part of the Australian TV Landscape and does have an Order Of Australia for it and when he did Temptation on Seven they had daytime and prime time (The Great Temptation) versions of the show on. Though for mine if they do that it has to be a double with Barbie Rogers as she was just as big part of that era as anyone else and at it longer than Tony (original 1959 Wheel Of Fortune, Midday Movie host, Beauty and The Beast, Celebrity Squares etc).
It’s a wonder Eddie hasn’t been nominated before. He’s been around for years.
He might be considered too controversial for some of the things he’s said in the past.
Andrew would be a worthy nominee or winner.
Yep I think so, as even though it was a bit tongue in cheek on the “campaign” side, you have to also consider that this time last year The Chase was also doing 600,000 plus each night, so that in this era of commercial TV is substantial.
