Originally scheduled for March, Martin Clunes: Islands Of America will now have its debut this week.

The Doc Martin star Martin Clunes begins in Hawaii and heads to Alaska.

This is a 4 part series which will screen on different nights in different cities.

Martin Clunes embarks on an epic journey around the coast of America to discover what life is like on the surrounding islands for a new four-part documentary series, Islands of America. 
 
Following the successful series on the Islands of Britain and Islands of Australia, Martin has developed a fascination for the unique quality and appeal of island life, often in the most remote places on the planet.
 
This time he sets off on a 10,000-mile journey, from the west to the east, to explore the vast swathe of islands which are scattered beyond America’s shores. He travels from Hawaii’s islands of fire to Alaska’s islands of snow and ice, and from California’s secret marine paradise to the playgrounds off the New England coast.

Along the way, Martin sees nature at her most spectacular, encounters the animals that inhabit these far-flung places, and meets people who live in their own sea-bound worlds – each with their own identity and unique story.
