US cop series The Rookie gets its Australian premiere next week on Seven.
Nathan Fillion stars as a 45 year old who joins the Los Angeles Police Department.
The series, which debuted in the US in October, is inspired by a true story and has been renewed for a second season.
Season guests include Beau Garrett, Mario Lopez, Joel McHale and will.i.am.
Starting over isn’t easy, especially for small-town guy John Nolan, who, after a life-altering incident, is pursuing his dream of becoming an LAPD officer.
8:30pm Monday August 5 on Seven.
SWAT will follow at 9:30pm.

This is Ch 7 your talking about! that is all I will say draw your own conclusions
Why hàs Seven sat on this? Omg in this day n age it should be aired within 7 days of the original airing. They have 4 channels to air it on. No wonder ratings are low.
Well we’re still waiting for How to get away with murder which finished months ago in the US. Not to mention the final season of Quantico which finished a couple of years ago. Whatever happened to that? They were showing repeats a while ago but not new episodes.
I’m guessing it’ll be at 8:30 for two weeks, then 9:00 when they air something before it and then finally when it isn’t rating it’ll be on 7Flix.
It’s a fun show, I really enjoy it. I hope it manages to find an audience and consistent scheduling.
