In the second of this two-part special, Caroline concludes the experiment of four volunteer couples road-testing the Ketogenic, Paleo, 5/2 and Flexitarian diets. Some couples struggle with the restrictions and rules while others thrive. One couple becomes so ill with vomiting and headaches, they have to take a day off work. Another couple get support from their kids, who think their parents will live longer if they stick to the new food program. One couple suffers so much from cravings they are driven to cheating.

Caroline and Professor Clare Collins from the University of Newcastle go through the results of the experiment with the participants, which include spectacular weight loss and worrying health implications. In cutting out whole food groups, one of the most popular diets ends up causing the biggest vitamin and nutrient deficiencies. What does the science say about each diet and which does Caroline recommend?
