Axed: Ransom

CBS is refusing to shell out for Ransom.

Producers tweeted, “We’re joyful & lucky to have shared these past three seasons with you. Unfortunately, we have to bid the CriRes team farewell. We loved telling stories about strong, smart characters resolving conflicts with words instead of violence. Thank you for watching.”

The series, starring Luke Roberts as Eric Beaumont, was inspired by crisis negotiator Laurent Combalbert and his partner Marwan Mery.

Ransom averaged 2.3 million total US viewers for its past season.

The final season is now airing in Australia, Sunday nights on FOX8.
