It was a packed house yesterday at Foxtel on Oxford as Foxtel announced its revamped iQ box with Netflix access.

Foxtel stars joined with media, producers and channel partners at the the pop-up cinema in Darlinghurst.

CEO Patrick Delany said, “This will have an immediate impact. One million Australian households getting the new Foxtel experience should revolutionise the way things are.”

“Foxtel has always been a place where we like to put the best of everything in one place,” he continued.

“And it doesn’t have to be owned by Foxtel ourselves. Our channels have always had FOX8 and BBC Channels, Discovery Channels, Nat Geo. On Demand isn’t just stuff that we have personally licensed. It’s On Demand contributed by all of our partners.

“That is what makes Foxtel different. Everything is in one place. No-one else puts Sport, Movies, Documentary, Kids, Comedy -everything, together. It’s the best of the best, that’s our promise.”

He continued, “Netflix is Australia’s favourite streaming platform. Today I’m able to announce that Netflix has been completely integrated in a very deep way into the new Foxtel experience.

“Foxtel & Netflix side by side.”
