Nine dominates Sunday with Logies, Cricket combo.

Ratings: Nine may not have left the party happy but at least the Logies helped it to a bumper share.

The TV Week Logie Awards drew a preliminary figure of 866,000 viewers for a marathon broadcast, which, together with ICC Cricket World Cup, helped Nine to a big share.

The figure topped the demos and was up ever so slightly on 2018’s 851,000 viewers.

The Red Carpet Arrivals drew 799,000 viewers, down on 840,000 last year.

Meanwhile House Rules was second in its slot at 720,000 with MasterChef and Shetland both tied at 532,000.

9GEM’s ICC Cricket World Cup pulled 217,000 to top multichannels.

Nine network won Sunday with a bumper 38.9% share then Seven 27.2%, 10 14.8%, ABC 14.0% and SBS 5.1%.

Nine News drew 1.04m while Australia’s Top Ten of Everything (which was actually the final portion of the Logies) was 426,000 in preliminary figures.

Seven News topped the night with 1.17m viewers. Sunday Night drew 437,000 and Million Dollar Cold Case was 269,000.

The Sunday Project drew 390,000 / 246,000 for 10, then 10 News First (238,000), FBI (182,000) and Bondi Rescue (152,000).

ABC News was 688,000 for ABC, then Harrow (467,000), Compass (204,000) and The Repair Shop (180,000). The Bikes of Wrath was 86,000.

On SBS it was The Rise of the Clans (141,000), SBS World News (139,000) and D-Day: 75 Years (106,000).

  1. Having worked in theTV industry all my life it pains me to view, well only snippets, of that annual joke called the Logies. Although I am pleased to see the ABC win what a Pyrrhic victory it is And then to include some one like Kerry O’Brien to give it some sort of respectability, well he should of kept well await, but unfortunately there’s no accounting for ego.

  2. Bet Channel 9 is kicking themselves for not hanging onto the cricket rights, they will learn after this that it has been rating really well on Gem. Even though its the same feed I see on Foxtel over on Gem.

  3. You have to wonder if the Logies would be of more value to 10 than 9. The Voice could probably maintain similar numbers but even on 10 the Logies would surely improve on 532,000.

  4. For such a hyped event would have expected the Logies to excel 1m plus. This website had daily saturation articles of the nominees as did most newspapers
